emmergent Farmer Credit Facility
Zambia Emergent Farmer Credit is a facility aimed at
assisting emerging farmers improve their farm productivity,
access to finance and building a new class of farmers.
Product Features
Seasonal overdrafts to fiancé crop inputs of about 5-10
months.
Medium term loans to finance agricultural equipment
and infrastructure for 3-6 years
Minimum loan size of $10,000 or kwacha equivalent
Minimum loan size of $150,000 or kwacha equivalent
All borrowings are subject to a facility arrangement
fee
Lendings are available on both dollar and kwacha
Interest rates are floating and are subject to change
Farms are subject to valuation
Loans are subject to the general terms and conditions
of Zanaco

Proven entrepreneurial skills
Title to land
Minimum farming sizes and assets
10-50 ha arable land
Record of farm performance of less than three years
Good business proposal concept
Minimum equity contribution
