Our CEO, Mukwandi Chibesakunda, joined other women leaders at the unveiling of the Women Leaders for Climate Action (WLCA) strategic plan, which aims to empower women to take their rightful place as leaders in the fight against climate change. Mrs Chibesakunda, who is also Co-Chair of WLCA, called for a concerted effort to ensure that women are not only included in climate action but are at the forefront of it.
Her Honour, the Vice-President, Mrs W.K. Mutale Nalumango, who is also Patron of WLCA, emphasised the need for targeted and scalable interventions to support women in Zambia as they confront the multifaceted challenges posed by climate change.
Meanwhile, Co-Chair Nachilala Nkombo stated that the six-year plan will contribute to building resilience and creating opportunities for communities that embrace green growth.
