We were privileged to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Maposa Ethanol Processing Plant in the Maposa Resettlement Scheme in Luanshya.
Our Acting CEO, Mr. Kalengo Simukoko joined the ceremony which was graced by Her Honour, the Vice President, Dr. W.K. Mutale Nalumango, MP, alongside distinguished guests from Maposa Biotechnology Corporation, Musika, senior government officials and private sector partners.
Once fully operational, the plant will have a crashing capacity of 500 tonnes of dry cassava per day providing local farmers ready market and job creation for the town. The plant will also produce fertilizer and animal feed.
We congratulate the Office of the Vice President for fostering local community development through strategic public-private partnerships, underscoring the government’s commitment to local economic development.
