Zanaco reached a major milestone under its flagship environmental program, the Zanaco Plant A Million (ZPAM), successfully planting 1,193,885 across Zambia. To mark this achievement, the Bank extended the celebration to both its staff and customers, recognising the collective effort that has driven the initiative forward.
As part of the milestone celebrations, Zanaco gifted a tree to every member of staff. Each tree will be planted and nurtured at employees’ homes, symbolising the important role our teams continue to play in protecting and restoring the environment. Our staff have been a key pillar of the Zanaco Plant A Million journey, demonstrating commitment, passion and shared responsibility in making Zambia greener. We are proud to celebrate this achievement with them and grateful for their continued dedication.
Zanaco also shared this milestone with its customers by gifting trees to customers who visited our branches during the celebration period. This gesture was a way of thanking our valued clients for being part of the Zanaco Plant A Million story and encouraging broader community participation in environmental sustainability.
The Zanaco Plant A Million Initiative reflects the Bank’s long term commitment to environmental sustainability and climate action. Reaching one million trees is an important milestone but it is not the end of the journey. Together with our staff, customers and communities, Zanaco remains committed to growing a greener, more sustainable Zambia.
