We joined the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) for its 1st Public–Private Partnership in AML/CFT/CPF Dialogue Programme, held under the theme: “Securing Zambia’s Mineral Wealth: Strengthening Public–Private Partnership Against Financial and Economic Crimes.”
The dialogue, officiated by the Attorney General, Mr. Mulilo Kabesha, SC, brought together stakeholders from the public and private sectors to strengthen collaboration in the fight against financial and economic crime. The Bank was represented by our Executive Head, Compliance, Temba Nonde, reflecting our commitment to strengthening collaboration and supporting collective efforts to protect the integrity of Zambia’s financial system.
As the event’s main sponsor, we are proud to partner with the FIC in advancing platforms that encourage deeper information sharing, stronger public–private partnerships and collective action to safeguard Zambia’s resources. For Zanaco, Putting You First means playing our part in protecting our customers, the financial system and the economy they depend on. Building a more resilient financial system is a shared responsibility and one we are committed to advancing together.

Our Head of Communications, Kyembe Kyalusanza, took the stage as Moderator for a key panel discussion on Beneficial Ownership, Transparency, and Corporate Accountability in the Mining Industry. The discussion facilitated a robust exchange of ideas on how public–private partnerships can strengthen efforts to secure Zambia’s mineral wealth against financial and economic crimes. We remain committed to putting You First by advancing transparency and accountability in the mining sector.
