Zanaco attended COP30 in Brazil, where we engaged in global conversations on climate finance, resilience and sustainable development. Our Chief Commercial Officer, Chali Mwefyeni, and Executive Head – Client Solutions, Chanda Chime-Katongo, attended the COP30 Africa Day Sessions. They engaged with key figures such as the AfDB Vice President for Power, Energy, Climate and Green Growth, Dr. Kevin Kanina Kariuki and Hon. Mike Mposha, Minister of Green Economy and Environment.
Our team later joined a high-level panel discussing ‘From Risk to Resilience: Advancing Climate Action and Accreditation to Climate Funds’ where Mr. Mwefyeni called for systemic reforms to help commercial banks access global climate finance more effectively. This will ensure faster capital flows to vulnerable communities across Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
