Zanaco was honoured to participate in the Zambia–UAE Business Forum, led by the President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema.
The Forum, which was hosted this morning in Abu Dhabi, brought together Zambian and Emirati business leaders to deepen economic cooperation and explore new investment opportunities. Zanaco was represented by our Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Mukwandi Chibesakunda, who reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to supporting Zambia’s economic transformation agenda.
This aligns with the Government’s Grow Zambia Agenda, which seeks to double the size of our economy to deliver more revenue for public services, more jobs and more business for our people. As Zambia’s largest home-grown bank, Zanaco remains ready to finance this growth.
During the Forum, we witnessed the signing of Memoranda of Understanding across various sectors worth a total of USD 2.14 billion. We also welcome the anticipated signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the UAE, which will boost trade between our two countries.
Zanaco commends His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, for the invitation extended to Zambia and remains open to supporting and growing business and investment in Zambia
