Mr. Mutisunge Zulu is the Chief Risk Officer of the Bank. A seasoned banker with a vast wealth of risk management acumen over 16 years both at local and international level across the various strata namely Market and Liquidity, Credit, Operational and other Non-Financial Risks to including Environmental Social Governance (ESG) risk within the banking ecosystem and landscape. He has worked in South Africa, Uganda and Zambia.
Prior to joining Zanaco, Mutisunge served as Country Non-Financial Risk Head for Stanbic Bank Zambia while simultaneously heading the Risk Management function for Stanbic Insurance Brokers (a subsidiary of Stanbic Bank). He has served in various senior capacities within the Standard Bank group managing the Market Risk reporting portfolio at Africa Regions level (SA, Zambia and Uganda), Energy and Infrastructure, Sovereign, Banking and Non-Banking Financial Credit Portfolio (Zambia) & Non-Financial Risk management (Zambia). Other areas of experience include investor services. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Copperbelt University, has attended Executive Education on leadership with Henley Business School and is a June 2022 Global Association of Risk Practitioner (GARP) Financial Risk Management (FRM) scholar.
