Flexi Farewell Funeral Plan

The Flexi Farewell Plan is designed to provide financial relief in the event of death of any of the individuals covered by the policy. The policy covers the main life, spouse, children and extended family members. This product is underwritten by Prudential Life Assurance Zambia

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR COVER?
  • Preferred and Private account holders
  • Minimum 18 years, maximum 60 years age next birthday for policyholder and spouse
  • Minimum 21 years, maximum 75 years age next birthday for extended family members
  • Minimum 1 year, maximum 31 years age next birthday for children
POLICY BENEFITS
  • Death Benefit – Cover ranges from K20,000 to K100,000.
  • The policy can cover a maximum of 18 people including the main life, 1 spouse, 6 children and 10 extended family members.
  • Accidental Double Death Benefit – Double the selected Sum Assured becomes payable to the Beneficiary or appointed administrator of the policyholder. The policy automatically terminates in the event that the policyholder dies
  • No-Claim Cashback Benefit – 10% of premiums paid over a 5-year period will be paid back to the customer in the event of no claim
  • Hospitalization Benefit – Where the insured is hospitalized, up to 5% of the sum assured will be paid each year after being hospitalized for more than 3 nights.
  • Loyalty Benefit – In addition to death benefits, 5% of the sum assured is paid out for every five (5) years the policy has been in-force.
  • Waiver of Premiums – On death of the policyholder, the insurer pays premiums for the remainder of the policy term.
  • Return of Premiums – if death occurs from non-accidental causes during the waiting period, the insurer will return any premiums during the policy less policy fee. The policy will also be cancelled
POLICY CONDITIONS
  • Minimum term 10 years, Maximum 20
  • Waiting period of 6 months for payment of death benefits from natural causes
  • Lapsation – policy never lapses after initial waiting period of 6 months in which all premiums have been paid
  • No Surrender value is payable on the policy

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE COVER IS CONFIRMED
  • Customer must have a Zanaco bank account
  • Customer should complete proposal form
  • Customer should provide copy of ID (NRC, valid drivers license, valid passport)
