We are proud to have hosted the Zanaco Climate Finance Symposium at Ciela Resort, Lusaka, from 14th to 15th May 2024. The event brought together project developers, sponsors, investors, regulators, government agencies, and other experts in climate action to accelerate financing of the country’s mitigation and adaptation efforts.
The Symposium was graced by the Honourable Minister of Green Economy and Environment Engineer Collins Nzovu, who commended Zanaco for being a part of the fight against climate change and green transition and urged other corporate bodies to play their part. Our CEO Mukwandi Chibesakunda reiterated our commitment to taking climate action through various interventions including providing the much needed climate financing.
Zanaco is the only Green Climate Fund (GCF) accredited bank in Zambia and holds dedicated funding for green projects. We are committed to being socially inclusive, environmentally accountable, and well-governed and our aspiration is to support our clients on their own sustainability transition.
