Mr. Chali Mwefyeni is the Chief Commercial Officer at Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc. He is a seasoned Banker with a tenacious drive towards Organizational performance and transformation. He has over 16 years’ financial services experience with extensive skills in Sales, Customer Relationship Management, Sustainable Business Leadership, Insurance and Risk Management, Corporate, SME and Agricultural Finance. Chali has previously held sales, customer relationship management and underwriting roles at Stanbic and Madison General Insurance respectively.
Over the last 13 years, Chali has served in different roles that include Senior Customer Relationship Manager, Account Executive, Head SME Agriculture, Head Agriculture Banking, and Head Business Banking working for Zambia National Commercial Bank (Zanaco) and Stanbic Bank Zambia Limited. During the same period, he was involved in setting up a new business function, leading cross functional projects across cost optimization, product development, customer segmentation and digital transformation at Zanaco.
Chali holds a Master’s degree in Development Finance from Stellenbosch University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Zambia, a diploma in Insurance Studies and a diploma in Sustainable Business Leadership from the Swedish Institute
