Eletina Phiri is a seasoned Chartered Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor with over 20 years of progressive experience in internal auditing, governance, risk management, and controls both in the public and private sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Head Internal Audit at ZANACO, she leads strategic audit initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and support executive decision-making.
Her career spans leadership roles in financial institutions and government, including a pivotal secondment to the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) as Head of Special Audits. Eletina is known for her ability to align audit functions with organizational strategy, foster cross-functional collaboration, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and robust assurance frameworks.
She is a Fellow of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (FZICA), Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and holds other multiple qualifications including Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Athlone Institute of Technology, National Accounting Technician Advanced Diploma under the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and a candidate for an MBA in Strategy at Heriot-Watt University.
