Mr. Kalengo Simukoko was appointed as Chief Credit Risk Officer of the Bank in June 2018. He is Harvard-trained transformational business leader with a bias for action and a distinguished and impactful career spanning over 20 years garnered in the banking, construction and water sectors.
He is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program (AMP) and also holds a MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester and an LLM in International Corporate and Commercial Law from King’s College London. Prior to joining Zanaco, Kalengo served as Chief Risk Officer at United Bank for Africa (UBA), a Pan-African financial services group, and has also previously held senior management roles at two FTSE 100 financial institutions-Barclays and Standard Chartered Bank Plc respectively.
