Smart Child Education Plan

The Smart Child Education Plan is a savings plan that allows the policyholder to save towards their children’s future education expenses. The policy offers an attractive amount at maturity and security in case of premature death of the policyholder. This product is underwritten by Prudential Life Assurance Zambia

Handsome Maturity Benefit i.e. sum assured selected when the customer signs up for the policy
Maturity Bonus – 1 % interest is paid for each year the policy is in-force for policy terms of 7 years and above.
Funeral Benefit – 5% of the maturity benefit is paid as funeral benefits in case of death of the policyholder
Waiver of Premiums – the insurer waves payment of premiums in the event of death, permanent disability or critical illness of the policyholder

Minimum term 5 years, Maximum 20
Max Child Age 16, Min 1 (only a child/dependent(s) can be the beneficiary)
Lapsation – policy lapses if premiums are not paid for 3 months consecutively
Policy Reinstatement – policy can be reinstated within 12 months of policy lapse provided all outstanding premiums are paid
Surrender value – surrender value is paid within the terms of the policy
